Technician/Sr. Technician , Fit and Pattern, Fit COE

The Technician / Sr. Fit Technician will be responsible for fit and construction approval. S/he would be accountable for empowering Vendor fit technicians. S/he would be responsible for fit/construction risk management and troubleshooting vendor performance on Fit as per performance standards defined by the brands.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for fit and construction approval for category/brand
  • Onboard and Train new vendors to conform with Corp standard and monitor their performance against defined standards
  • Fit approval ownership for special program to cope with business need
  • Empower vendor fit technicians through vendor training and skill building on fit knowledge
  • Ensure garment samples confirm to corporate/brand specifications/requirements by conducting fit and pattern evaluations
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to merchants/vendors/Category Tech to ensure that the samples meet defined standards
  • Troubleshooting vendor performance on fit by providing suggestions and/or training to merchants and vendors on sample fitting , construction and grading
  • Partner with PQA team to improve quality in the areas of construction, fitting, pattern and grading.
  • Line Review meeting: join seasonal Line Review meeting with GIS merchants, Testing & QA, to call out potential risk on construction, fabrication and fit aspects of garment, suggest alternatives and solutions
  • Ensure product safety in construction and fits

  • Degree – Certification in Pattern Making, merchandising or other related discipline
  • Fit and Construction knowledge – experience with garment construction, pattern making and fitting. Able to understand and communicate to vendor fit technicians. Knowledge on fit  drape on model/dummy. (minimum 8 years of experience)
  • Computer skills- Experience using Gerber ; MS Office
  • Problem Solver can proactively solve problems and effectively manage multiple challenges.
  • Collaboration- Proven ability influencing and making decisions cross-functionally in a matrix environment where speed and cultural sensitivity is crucial.
  • Communication- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cross functional teams. Excellent proficiency in English and desired local languages to communicate effectively with brands and vendors
  • Learning Agility- demonstrated curiosity, motivated to learn new skills and knowledge.
  • Resourcefulness - experience in managing dynamic projects that require the ability to flex as obstacles are presented.
  • Business Performance Improvement – proven track record of improvement based on fact-based analysis or benchmarking
